this is probably a dumb question, but if i put a 426 kit in my 400ex do i need to get a "special" size of top end gaskets for it or will the stock size work?

cosmetic makes a head gasket for the 88mm bore. C&D can get you what you need. everything else should be good to go in terms of stock gaskets.
