I don't want to spend a week to take out my pivot bolt then I think that the quickest way to do it is to drill it.

I see a thread that a guy said to use a 5/8 drill bit ... does it sound right?? I only have a 1/2 drill bit that will do the job??

I will drill the nut side and the bolt side and will take something, put it in the singarm and take it out with a hammer

Does my technic sound right?!?

Thanks

I'm asuming your talking about your swing arm pivot bolt...

if so, I used a torch, much quicker.

I havent heard of drilling it, but its worth a shot.

id say go for it cuz u will need new bearing and a new bolt anyway.

I would use a torch if I were you, it's real quick.

Just be careful of the fittings that are pressed into the motor cases, they will come out if it gets too hot, and Honda does not sell them seperate, they are part of the cases. Luckily I had a guy who works at a machine shop take one from a case and copy one for each side, he saved me the $cost of the cases .

I went to Lowes and got a 5/8 bit for like $16. Drills it right out. Use lots of oil for lubrication. On mine I drilled like half ways through and I was past the stuck spot and it came right out. I tried heating it and everything and it wouldn't come out. The drill trick did it for me.
