Taking Baffle out

ok I have 01 stock 400ex...with uni air filter..I dont have the money right now for a slip on ... and I took out my baffle ... of my stock muffler ..... will that hurt my engine at all if I have that out?:confused: I just want it loud until I get my slip on!!

taking the baffle out wont help on power, and sounds so stupid. why do you want it loud in the first place?

won't make a big enough difference to need to rejet.

so if you like the sound, then go for it.

it sounds better than with the baffle...the baffle makes it soo quiet...I am tired of my buddys with pipes around me and I can't hear my own wheeler .. leaset it wont hurt it...thanks guys !!

i wouldnt do it cus like everyone says it sounds ugly and there isnt a big diff in power but if u want to go ahead. P.S it even sounds worse on a T.V. last year i was jumping and my mom taped me a little bit when i had my baffle out and i cant stand to watch it anymore btw it was a 35 foot double.

because of the way the 400ex exhuast is designed, taking the baffle doesn't change anything other than the sound. It really sounds bad without it.

botm my friends did it on there 05 400ex and 03 z400 and the sound isnt bad but it dont know if it gave them any power as far as i know cause they dont gott them yet and they didnt have spark arresters so they had to buy end caps off ebay that came with a spark arrester

um because it closes down trails and tracks, but i cant say much my 440ex isnt quiet with the white bros slip on, on it

ahha yeah I Did it...it doesn't sound to healthy but it is loud...it will doo until I get a pipe for it..just making sure it wouldn't hurt anything

dont take it out its sounds like poopy and tis a waste. Just save up for a pipe.

i ran mine w/o the baffle for almost 2 years. if you think that its loud now, wait untill an aftermarket. i got a yoshi full, and it is louder than stock w/o the baffle...lol:)

I mean it sounds like ****..and yes I know pipe will be better..but I think the baffle out sounds better than when its in..just my thoughts tho..its out now and its staying out that I know it wont hurt it!
