I want to guesset my R and I know there is a weak spot on the frame right in the rear part by the motor mount....what are the other weak spots on the R frame?

I will be doing the shock mounts and stuff like that, but just wandering about any problem areas.

Also, for the weak spot on the back, what is the best way to guesset it? I have seen a couple diffrent, just wandering what works best.

Pics would also be good...thanks

check out www.walshrc.com and look at the 450r gusset kit they got. They show detailed pics of where to gusset the 450 frame...

Yes it is necessary if you race motocross. I have'nt had my R a year and already have a crack in the frame by the kickstarter. I will getting it welded then next winter i will get my frame gusseted and painted:macho

yeah if you beat it up on a mx track like I plan to do, you will need to guesset, and you don't have to be a pro rider, if you jump you will eventualy crack it, but it's not only the honda, any bike should be guesseted for mx.

thanks for the info guys

Its not just MX that can crack the frame

My brand new 06 with one three hour XC race has already gone on the weak point talked about above
