intake boot with p&p heads need help!!!

This question is to the people with heads that are ported and polished what kind of intake boot are you running??

Stock, but some do have the boot port matched to the port job.

Mine was ported to match but the wall of the intake broke were it hold the oring and its now sucking air

My 440 head is ported pretty radically, and it has a 41mm fcr carb on it. When I first bought it the damn carb would fall out sometimes, and it didn't like to slide into the intake boot very well. To solve this I took the boot off, and hogged it out with a dremel, makin sure not to leave any big gouges or anything. There is also a little lip on the engine side of the boot that looks like it would slow down the velocity of the intake charge, so I smoothed that out too. Much better now.

I had ported my stock one out but I think I took to much off and it came apart by hte o-ring ... I was just trying to figure out what to do to the new one..
