with a hi-speed disc cutter we had to cut off like half an inch off the side of the top mount. ill take a pic of the uncut one next to the EX's stock one. so u can see the size difference.im putting the other one on today.after u cut u gotta kinda sand the edges and rough spots to get it smooth so it doesnt crack. ill post some pics later.

You will like the results.I did this 2 weeks ago and the YFZ shocks are much better than stock.I will eventually get aftermarket shocks but these work good for now

i know this might sound stupid, but when u cut the top mount what happens to the bushing? it gets cut too? anyways i had mine sitting like that one time also. the guy i bought it from put a lowering kit on just the front. it looked good and all, but it wanted to understeer a lil too much for me so i took it off...:ermm:

so they ride a lot smoother than stock?

the bushing gets cut along with it too. nothing falls out or gets screwed up , cuz its all stuck together.i think it IS a smoother ride than stock. i heard it may cause bump steer , but dont know if its true , and it cant be that bad.it'll take you liek 2 hours or a bit more if you do it in one whole day. i did it in 2 days , cuz i was busy.
I got these shocks at a smoking deal which im still amazed at the price i payed.figured "hey , if they break , i could sell ONE and make up for it "

Oh.. i might have to go ahead and get me a pair then:) to lower the back, id probably add a durablue lowering kit to make it level.. but you might have to run with out the skid plate on the swinger. The guy i bought my quad from gave me a lowering kit but i never put it on because by just looking at it, it looks like it'll interfere with the skid, but im not sure of that tho...

yea my skid already takes a beating how it is. only in trails tho , so imma get the 18's n leave it as that. lol. im trying to avoid trails from now on.

yea that'd be a good idea.:) im not for sure about the skid tho , ive been planning onn putting the kit but i lost the right size allen wrenchto take off the stock link (10mm?). but when i get it put on ill let you know.
