hey guys i was wondering if i am getting a 440 kit w/11:1 comp installed what else should i get to achieve peak performance of this kit

i would get HD studs just as a safety precaution, better safe than sorry.:D

that is what i thought my friend said that they are not needed but that is what i told him.

we have ran 3 406's, a 416, a 426, and a 440. all were 11:1 besides two of the 406's were 10:1. we never once had one head stud pull out to this day. i would say run it and if you are having problems then change the studs.

also, make sure you have PLENTY of clearance between the sleeve and the case. because the 440 needs a larger sleeve, there will be less clearance between the sleeve and the case. i dremeled my case out a little bit just to be safe.

As long as you have it apart you might as well put the heavy duty studs in it. Why risk havin problems down the road..might as well do it right the first time.

that way you only have to have it apart twice. once to install, then the second to make sure you have no loose head bolts or any others.
