ok so i trying to figure out what class i should run but im so confused. i know pro is the top level but what does Pro-Am mean? and in terms of a,b,c class what is that equal to. like is class b considered intermediate? any help is appreciated.

pro-am is the pro's that are not in the top 10 in pro class points that sign up for pro am and qualify and the top a class riders that can also qualify for the pro-am.

depends on what type of racing your doing, XC or MX ?

MX racing is like Thumpin_450R said, BUT in XC racing Pro-am is Pro riders that are below top 20 from previous years points. in Both C-class would be more of an intermediate level. Intermediates can ride B-class but to seriously compete ( like top 10 ) now days you better be in tip top physical shape and have a very good suspension setup.
