I am interested in getting a new rear shock for my quad and was wondering if the new Elka rear shock with Dual Linkage is really work the extra money. I have an Elka rear shock now with the single linkage but i want to upgrade if it is worth the cost.
Give me feedback of what you think if you have gone from the single linkage to the dual linkage.

i thought the rear shock had 12" of travel with the new linkage compared to 10" with the single linkage.
Do you mean 3.5" more travel over stock shock?

well if u compress the rear shock then pull up i can get about 3.5 inches out of it.i think thats the travel right?.....

no. that 3.5 inches is ure zps spring extending. shock travel = shock fully extended to fully compressed.

That's the shaft stroke. Travel I believe is measured using the travel of the wheels. Fully compressed to fully extended would be the shocks "travel".

the dual linkage is a big improvement over other linkages, it offers more travel, a better shock angle, and a better leverage ratio curve throughout the shock, i would for sure pay the extra to swtich, especially if you are serious into any ATV riding or racing

yes i run the dual linkage.the linkage does sit low.
i finally had a chance to test new rear shock and linkage.it really feels good.it really soocks up the whoops, and thebig jumps.well worth the investment.
