Tall Gears?

Any think the stock 450 has tall gears for the trail? My neighbor just bought a smaller front sprocket for his to try and fix it. If it works ill buy one. What do you guys think?

i think there allright but it depends on how fast your going. if your doing slow trails then maybe its a little tall but anything else seems fine.

just put 12 tooth on front of my 06 with stock rear. I ride alot of hills and tight to open gravel pits and a love it, took off some top speed but thats not as important to me. I didn't like slipping the clutch that much. I do put on 22 mudlights for the mud and snow and that brings the gearing almost back to stock.:D anyway just my 2 cents.:D

I just put a 13 on my 05. What a difference! It wants to come up in every gear and it doesn't bog at low speeds.
