It would if geared correctly ... But why would you want to go 118 mph ?

top speed for a quad is like 138 or so its in one of the dirtwheels and its a crazy rocket boosted rappy
he had to average out speed both directions and blew it up on a run that he got over 150 mph.
118 would be pushing it I think.
no way a stock R will have power to push the wind that hard
when you get over 95-100 it starts taking some big hp gains
to get every mile per hour more
not calling bs but its pushing the limit for sure

u guys think this setup is probable 22 inch tires, 11,500 RPM rev limit, 15/35 gearing for a 250r????

I highly doubt it, like stated above it takes a lot for a quad to get up to that fast! I'm sure it could be done with a large big bore, drag porting, modded out extremely, with crazy gearing but who would want to ride it that fast in the first place:confused: !!!

Be prepared to spend almost three grand on a sabortooth kit. Enless God is driving thats the only way your going to get that fast.:D

I'm sure it could be done. I don't know if the "22 inch tires, 11,500 RPM rev limit, 15/35 gearing for a 250r" would get you there, I'm not going to bother to calculate it. But I believe I calculated once that 15/36 gearing at 10K limit was dang near 100mph, so it might be close.

Of course, that's assuming the engine has enough power to hit the rev limit with that gearing.

what would be the practicality of 118 mph 250r. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Anything is possible but why the heck would you want to go that fast on a R. Get a crotchrocket. It would suck on bottom and I dont know why you want to go through engines that quick. At those speeds and RPMs the 250r is a bomb well for that matter most enginges are. I know there is some wise guy thats going to disagree but unless you like rebuilding your engine I wouldnt go much over the rev limit and I sure wouldnt hold it there for extended periods of time or kaboom no more 250r
