My bikes got stolen today

Today i got home from school and the police were here and informed my bikes were stolen, they smashed the window and just hauled the bikes through it, they didnt even touch my bros 400ex, but we all have a feeling they will be back for it, so my lil bro is sleeping in the shop with a shot gun.

Now here is the problem, we think we know who stole it, they live only a couple roads over from us, should we sneak in and have a peek in their garage and see if the bikes are in there, because these people are notorious for stealing atvs and dirtbikes and have stolen from us before

i would check their garage, but make sure they are not home. if they are professionals they will probably shoot you if they know thet you know they have your quads. did that make any sense. :confused:

nope we are gunna go at like one in the morning and we are gunna drive the quads there, park them in the back of the field and walk up to the back of the property.

All of you should take one knife a piece, and conceal it. Don't take the bat, cause then they'll see there in danger and possibly fight back. But if they pull out knifes or something then you can pull yours out. But no need for conflict if it can be avoided. Just be sneaky, don't bust the lock, just call the cops if you do see it. Let them arrest them.

You don't want to get charged, it's not worth it. You don't want to go with a gun, you might get pissed off and shoot them if you have a conflict, and go to jail for murder. It's not wise. Just go with a couple things maybe a night stick or what have you, and do it at 4:00AM. make slow, gentle, quiet steps. One you see them, flee, and call the police.

Tell the cops you think you know where your bikes are and they'll go check it out . They have to act on suspecting tips from the public . If your local police don't , call the O.P.P .... if they don't , call Crime Stoppers . You're gunna get yourself in more chit snooping around someone's property than anything else !!!!

id snoop around but if you do get seen again then your bikes will never be seen i can just about guarantee that (they will either destroy them /burn them or sell them or take them to a friends house).but they prob. didnt keep them around anyways...good luck

If you do bring a shotgun the owner of the property can shoot you and claim self defense. If you are going to bring any type of gun maybe it should be a handgun which you can conceal much easier.

They have three farms, the gu that lives close to us lives on the one farm alone, and he works nights at a transport shipping company.

If you think the thief will be back, why dont you just get insurance on the 400ex and setup a laptop with a webcam in your garage. Then set it up for motion detection. When they come, set the software to trigger an alarm (loud sound of some sort played through your speakers) and then you have a picture of the a-holes.

This idea definetly beats riding around the neighborhood on quads in ninja suits and carrying shotguns.

I know for a fact this can be done. I did this to my friend as a joke one time. He came over to let out my dog and I recorded his every move.

Well, we got some info we know were all 4 of there farms are, and on 2 of the farms they have shacks back in the woods, thats were everyone says they keep the stuff they steal. There is also a deep ravine back in there that we are going to check out as well

we are going tonite with only a cell phone but we are riding the 4wheeler most of the way there, then walking the next mile

I'm always worrying about people stealing my toys, and recently I was woken up to 2 stupid sons of b.tches trying to break in to my truck. I thought I heard 2 people outside whispering and moving metal objects around, I leaped out of bed wondering, looked out the window, and there were 2 dinks all dressed up preparing to break in, so I hit the panic button and ran outside yelln WHAT THE ____ YOU THINK YOUR DOIN??? I wasn't thinking I could have gotten pegged off. But they ran away thankfully no damage was done.

I've got a related story....

A friend of mine's girlfriend had a 300EX stolen from the back of a truck in broad daylight a couple weeks ago.

So a few nights ago me and like 3 other guys had a tip about who stole it... It was supposedly in a garage with like 3 other stolen quads. So we were all gonna take one and try to find the owners.... Kinda a vigelante thing.

Anyway, heres the setup. Theres an alley with a main street on each end. The garage is in the center. I get dropped off with the other 2 guys, walk down the street and take a look, he picks me up on the other side.

Well, they saw me peeking in the garage and came out yelling... This kid and I suppose his dad tried to catch me. I ran to the end of the street and jumped in the truck. The whole time this lady is running telling her son to get our liscence plate. We dipped out and parked the truck about 5 blocks away.

Well, I'm not one to take a punk out, and that WAS a punk out, so I convince the other guys to go back with me. I was going to attain entry by force, wether they liked it or not. One of the most idiotic ideas I've had for a while.

So we got there and this guy (the dad) starts following us down the street about a block away from the house (they were looking for us). So after him following us for a while I turn around and ask him what the **** he wants.

He starts yelling about kids trying to get in the garage, and he is obviously a meth head, so this fuels even more my belief that the quads are in there. So I'm getting ready to train this fool, because he won't quit yelling in my face, when the kid pops out from the alley with a damn Glock or something, pointing it in our direction.

So I took off like a bat, and got back to home base. The place I went back to had a police scanner, they actually announced on it that our truck was getting ready to be towed and that the quads had actually been cleared by the police with matching titles and VINs. What a ****ter.

None of us actually got in trouble (It was pitch black, they couldn't recognize us if they saw us again face to face...)... But it just goes to show you how important it is to be sure about what tou are doing before you go all gung ho with the artillery and such.
