what to do?(car related)

Well im 16 will be 17 in may and I have a 1984 Dodge Ram 150 Truck which gets like 10 mpg and im getting sick of driving that truck. I also have a 1985 Mustang GT Convertible w/302 in the garage. The Mustang needs work. Needs a tranny rebuild, new top,new paint job, odds and ends. The body has 99k miles, and I dont know how many the engine has. Its an auto. I also found a nice 1993 probe SE with power everything, leather, ect for $1000 which is an auto 4 cyl. My friend has it and theres something wrong with the tranny. Im assuming it needs a rebuild or a new one. My friend says its just the accumlator, but I dont know. The car has 150,000 miles on it and is in good condition other than the tranny. Im either going to finance 3000 and put it in the mustang or use the 3000 and buy that probe and fix it up. Remember I am 16 and really needing a good MPG car which the mustang is not. What should I do? Heres pictures

i say fix up the stang. AS for gas milage, the Fox Bodies actually were not that bad on gas. High teens at least, the probe might get you 25 or slightly more. Atleast when i was 16, dont know about you, but I wanted to have the cool car at school and the Probe is certainly not a cool car. Parts are everywhere for the Mustang and reasonable in price. It is your decision, but if it were me i would Probably stick with the truck, but out of the cars, i say Fix up the mustang.

Listen very carefully I work for ford. I would invest in the mustang because you can get in the 20's for mpg. Probes are VERY expensive to fix and half the of the parts for them are obsolete so if I were you I would do up the stang.

Buy a honda civic. Can't go wrong with one of those... Its a honda.:)

you will have nothing but more problems with that probe 150,000 miles


get that stang fixed up

To hell with that probe, I would definately just put some money into that mustang like general tune up items.

I know i never will. I will always have some sort of toy to play with and be stupid with. Just sold my truck for a lifted jeep:D

You can dis the car all you want ( Even though I got one and they get awesome gas mileage), but my uncle works for a dealer who sells the honda trucks and he has that thing pimped out. He's got awesome rims, and a complete game/dvd player in the back. I would still take dodge over it, but it's still prett nice.

the trucks still look like shat cars are good
