View Full Version : axle and swinger have play

I just noticed today that my axle rocks side to side. there is about 2-3 centimeters of play. Is this bearings that are shot? The other day I was replacing my rear brake shoes and the whole inside of the drum was complete grease. You couldnt even see anything it was so bad. What do you guys think the problem is?

you answered your own question. the bearings are shot.

with that much play, you may also have a bad carrier, axle or both. check everything out..but the bearings are shot for sure

axle bearing kit (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/REAR-AXLE-BEARING-SEAL-KIT-TRX250R-300EX-400EX-250X_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43972QQitemZ462639 1413QQrdZ1)

you will also need some other orings from you dealer...
part number -91353-HA2-670 -you need 2 of these
" " -91351-737-752 - need 2 of these
" " -91351-HA5-003 - need 2 of these

go to service honda and look at the exploded view of the swiing arm and axle. the orings that i ave listed might not need replaced, but i replace them everytime i changet he bearings just to be safe...

good thing that you just told him that, cause I ordered my bearings the other day and completly forgot about those. But I just called C&D and got everything situated.
