May i ask your reasoning? I am not saying either way it right or wrong as i have seen good results with both. I use the Moto-tune method, or atleast a similar one with great results. After breaking in my motor hard and fast, i pulled it apart after over a year of regular riding form trails to MX in all condition and the piston looked like new, no scarring, hardly any wear and the compression test wear only minimally lower than when first rebuilt.

That's because it's a Honda motor.:D
