I heard that shockwares can actually take the paint off of ur shocks. Is this true?

The PEP ones are neoprene and supposedly dont wear the paint off. But they are like $70 a set or something crazy.

so you would rather have everything open to roost and risk a quicker break down of all of your seals??? That seems smart.

I have elka's with elka shock covers and yes, they do rub the paint off. But who cares!!! I mean if you use shock covers, the only time that you are going to see the spots that the covers wore off is when you are washing them. Its just smarter to use shock covers.

I've got brand new elka's with the shock covers..... I wonder if there's anything you can put in the cover so it wont scratch them:confused:

the dirt skins covers are neoprene and are way cheaper than the peps. i just ordered a set directly from sirt skins and the total was 45 and change for all 3, plus i get a free dirtskins shirt...woohoo

Aye.. I agree with the others here.. it will rub off a little paint, but Id rather have it rub off a little paint, than have mud rubbing on my shock seals. ;)
