I've been trying to come up with a couple idea's on how to give the bars a cleaner look... I have the Tag T2 bars and clamp and I've been running a plate I made a while ago to hold the starter, key switch, a light switch and the neutral light. I ran that with my renthal 7/8" bars and clamp. I'm getting tired with that setup, so....

With my new fat bars and clamp... I decided to run a yz kill switch as a starter. So I'm going to make another clamp that holds the key switch, light switch and neutral light. I know most of you will just say toss the neutral light away, but I like it. So is there anyway to hook up an led bulb as a neutral light? I think it would look alot better and also be a lot smaller, pretty much wouldn't know it even there... until it's on:devil:

Oh yeah, would I just need to get the bulb? Cause I know I'm going to have to splice in the neutral light wires, but how do I hook the wires up to the LED bulb?

Take the bulb out and you can get LED's that fit into a bulb fitting, I've been looking at them for a while, going to pick up some to change mine over (neutral and brake light).

i had to make a new led neutral light on my 400 because of the full bore plastics, it has a billet key bracket and i drilled a hole in it and put in an led with one of those holder things, you just have to solder a resistor on the led and thats it

make sure you do not hook up the wires backwards...led's only pass electricty one way, hence Light Emitting Diode (LED)

I'll get a couple bulbs just in case:p

So Below100hz, I just need to get the bulb and solder a resister on it? Seems easy enough. You mentions something about a holder... I'm not quite sure on how to keep it to stay put. What kind of holder? And where can I get one? Also where did you guys get your led's from? Would Schucks have them?

ok here ya go...

if you want a premade holder..you can go to radio shack walmart numerous internet pages..yada yada..

dont use a holder...you r making this custom so make it custom

leds are a dime a dozen ...i get mine from ebay usually for $0.99 for 25

30ma 5000mcd will be bright enough

here is a page with simple instructions on how to calculate your resistor size http://www.kpsec.freeuk.com/components/led.htm

i have done so many things with leds..they r great

i made brake and turn signals in the rear of my motorcycle pegs, those angel eyes that bmws have for my jeep, many custom light applications for friends boats

have fun be creative..like i said leds are a dime a dozen so dont worry if you blow them

Great post! But why does the old LITE BRIGHT art game come to my mind when you posted this? HEHE

For you young guys that was a game/art system that used colored plastic pegs and you placed them on a black background with a small light behind it. It would light up your pegs and you could see your design in the dark.

Here is the new computer version

I just ordered some blue led's on ebay! Thanks premiumtommy:D

I just made a new bracket yesterday that holds my key, a light switch and as soon as the led's come in I'm going to mount one on the left side of the key.
