I bought some elka sport and race series shocks about 4 months ago set up for factory a-arms. Im considering buying +2 a-arms. I was wondering what i needed to get done on the shocks. Also would it hurt to run them for a while with them like they are. the are compression and ride height adjustable.

The arms will put more leverage on the shocks, which make them feel like they have lighter dampning and spring rates. If they are a little on the stiff side for you now, they maybe okay with the +2 arms (not ideal, but okay). If they are soft now, they'll just get softer, and the compression adjuster probably won't be enough to offset it. The best thing to do would be to put it together and ride it. If it feels too soft and bottoms easily, you may need to send them in.
