i have a 99 400ex still on its first piston, its starting to bog and feels like its loosin power i think im gonna go with a 409ex, would it be better to just put a sleeve in or get it bored?

You dont have to re-sleeve until you do a 440. Up to a 426 can be done on the origional sleeve. Just bore it, no need to waste money on a new sleeve if you dont need one.

I agree with the above but i would go with a 416, it will give you a more noticable difference in power and it will still leave you with room to go up to a 426 someday.
