i just think that this is so funny that i couldnt help but put it on here. i have a friend. he is 16 and has had a 1986 suzuki lt125 quad since he was about 7. this think doesnt even have suspension. he has a sock as an airfilter, no first gear but it is autoclutch so it doesnt matter, and has to drift start it every time. he has bean thinkin and says he wants to get the new ltr450. hes loaded with cash so im sure he will. when he said this i could barely hold in my laughter. i have never heard of someone making such a large leap in sizes.

if anyone else knows of any cases like this tell me about it and the outcome

So what's the problem exactly? Jealous much?

If he has been riding since he was 7 and he is now 16 then I don't see any problem with him getting a 450. Believe it or not 450s are not like some unridable beast that only a select few can handle.

Nah, it aint tha funny. So he should spend about 30,000 on different quads to progess his way upto a 450? first 80, then 90, 125, 250, then 450?

I rode a blaster which I mastered, I rode my dads yfz a couple times but he never let me ride it. From the blaster, I Then went to a 450r, it was amazing power, and I still cant handel it all, just that It feels sooo much better and If there was a 900r, double the 450r, I would get that in a snap to feel even MORE amazed.

my first quad was an LT125 and they don't have shocks - witch is a good thing because they teach you how to ride and to have respect.

WOW that was like 22 years ago!!!

I went from a stock 250x to a modded Zilla. Try that for a jump.

I never owned my own quad and my first was a 450. As long as he has respect for it and knows the fundamentals of riding he will probably be fine .

I am 29 years old and have only ridden my friends KFX400 about a dozen times in the dunes and I just bought my own YFZ 450. I think as long as the kid is careful he will be just fine Especially since hes been riding for a while.

my first quad was a banshee....and before that ive never rode clutch before or a manual at that and im pretty good at it now so its not really that big of a leap for him if hes been ridin since he was 7:rolleyes:

im wondering why (if he is loaded with cash)
he ran an antique atv with no shocks for 9 years ?

jealous for sure..........its a big step from you killing him on your 300 to him waisting you on his 450
