I just finished my frame up resto of my 1988 250R. It has new chain, sprockets, maier plastic, fx seat cover, wiseco top end, tag bars, easy pull clutch and cable, ac bumper, powder coated frame, shock covers and chrome skull valve caps. I repaired and gusseted the severely cracked frame, replaced brakes and other odd and end stuff. I still plan on buying black bajas, holeshots, skids, and maybe new shocks and al airbox.

Looks good. I'm just not a big fan of that style of Maier front plastics.

Yeah no kidding! I spent a good 4 hours polishing my shrouds but who would have thought they would be made into the plastic?

The polishing looks good, but the plastic looked better before. I like the nacs graphics on blue.

who did your welding /gussetting? I have an 89 frame that is insanely cracked. I don' t know if can be fixed even.

Jody Bateman (JB racing) does a great job with frames, and he powdercoats cheap too. Their site is www.jbatvracing.com

Trust me you wouldnt like the old plastic it was in the beyond horrible condition. I plan to cover my new plastic with parts stickers.

I did all of the welding myself. My subframe was cracked in two, it wasnt even lined up. I realigned it, welded it together and welded steel plates to both sides. It worked out pretty good, definitely not going to break.
