chain master link?

just kidding ...... on did chains should i use the rivet type link or there one with the clip? ............. i did just get 2 posts out of 1 question tho............ sorry i like to drive people insane :(

k i prolly didnt explain that clearly enough ,they have one with a circlip sorta thing............ but they say the riveting one is better.......srry i am kinda out of it.........hopfully someone understands this

Most people use the clip style. if you ever have to take the chain bakc off it is much easier and you dont have to buy a new link to put it back on. BUT, teh rivet style is stronger than the clip style. the masterlink is teh weakest link in the chain, but teh Rivet style is very close to the stength of the othe rlinks where teh clip style is weaker.

I agree. I don't want to see this kind of crap again, ESPECIALLY in the tech sections. We'll allow a bit of garbage to occur in the Open Forum, because it's specifically made for off-topic posts.
