where to get foam?

me and my friend are making a foam pit and we need foam, but we have no money, does like walmart or something throw away foam??? hes trying back flips on a bmx bike and he doesnt want to get hurt again

i wouldnt recomend using foam that isnt fire retardant ... i saw pics somewhere of someones foam pit on fire it was really bad .. toxic smoke and stuff. i will try to find the link

I doubt a bmx bike is gonna create a fire hazard.

I would hit up every upholstery shop I could find. They are the ones that use foam the most. Ask them if you can have what they throw out.
