well i just called hmf to figure out whay jets i need and they told me thati just need a 145 main,2 1/2 turns on the air/fuel mixture and take off my snorkel,is anybody running this set up? is this correct for a just a slip on? thanks

with my white bros slip on, no air box lid, and uni filter with an outwears im running a 175 main jet. sounds a little bit to low to me.

yep! hmf slippy with a 146 DJ on the 3rd clip on the needle with a pro design k&n and an ehs outerwear lid with the tip of the snorkle removed

dirt wheels has it that if you run just without the airbox lid you should have a 155 main jet to keep the ratio right
that sounds pretty low to me

memeber though the 06carbs are differnt from the older ones so thats why he said the 145 so you guys think i should order a bigger one?

if you take the lid off the air box you should be up around a 155 to 165mj not a dyno jet 155 to 165 a mikuni there is a diff but if you only take the snorkel off you may only need that 145 the difference here is lid on or lid off the flow of the slip on won't make to much of a change in your jetting if you take the lid off get the next size up pilot jet on the 36mm bsr it was a 25 2003 kfx i had a 155mj 25pilot when i had my lid off and mod stock exaust up here in maine 500 ft above sea level

ok i talked to my buddy and he has a extra 400ex 160 main jet that he has but my question is,will this fit in a z400 carb? its keihn jet and i belive my carb is a minuki will this effect anythin? and is this to big? most people have been sayin between 155-165 so i figured that this would be right in the middle,and if it does work then i will end up taking off my lid ans snorkel

Before my header pipe and just the HMF I was at 152...I think my guy put a 160 or 162 with the head pipe, no snorkel..remember the 05's run a little different then any older model year with the bigger carb.
