they go for around $150. then you need to add the price of boring the stock cylinder. better get a cam or the kit's not gonna help much so theres another 100-250 dollas.

that will depend alot on who does it. im figuring on spending close to $700 on labor......thats with LRD doin the port work....and an engine guru named james in pennslyvannia!!

but that will also include going thru the bottom end just to check things out.

Well Hetricks has a 416 kit for $500 that all you need is a Pipe and Carb after that and your motor would be rocking. TC has a full 416 kit with everything for $1,500. Then you can jump way up to a Sparks full kit for around $3,000. I like the Hetricks for the Price.

buzzsaw i did my whole 416 for under $300 bucks and it gives the higher priced 416's a run for their money! :eek:

i went with the 416 kit from marcums: $150
i had a shop here bore port and polish: $50 (sponser price)
Hotcams Stage 2 cam: $90 (my cost)

total = $290.00

for 290 bucks its one of the best deals ive ever bought for the performance gained! :macho

next on the list is one of those FCR 39mm carbs and then she'll be complete :square

mine was around around 850$ for the motor work on my 406 (same price as 416)...

i also had to add new rockers and valves to mine bc my stock rocker had a chip in it...

if i would have got a xr400 cam and been able to kept my stock stuff it would have been around 700$ or alittle less...

that included full race porting, boring, takin motor apart and putting it back together, piston, tc mx cam, and all gaskets and seals, and 4 free valve jobs that he usually charges 25$ a piece for...
