What's a good starting point?
440 Stroker, 10.8:1, P&P head, stock carb (for now) WB silencer, and probably a HRC Cam
I'm thinking: 45/48? Pilot, drop needle one more notch(two from stock) and a 178-180 main.
Thanks for the replies

The needle clip will probably be ok where it is, one spot down from stock. I would start with a 45 pilot, and do a plug check on it. It will probably also be ok. For the main, I would start with a 168 main and just richen it a size at a time until the motor boggs down. then back it off a size and you will be ok. You might end up at a 180 but that is pretty big...

With a pipe and filter w/o a choke I ran a 40 pilot and 155 main. I'm good with tuning, just looking for a safe point to start from.
thanks for the input

I would start with a 170 with a stock carb the jet size will not change to much because your carb will only let so much air in your motor...
