Alright I need a swinger skid that has the best ground clearance. I had a UM last year and it worked pretty good but was beat to hell so I tried a DG baja this year and it is ridiculously close to the ground...and im meaning there is about an inch between the sprocket and disc brake to the skid and in the last race it was dragging on everything from ruts to small rocks. This is for a 400ex with 20inch razr II's racing XC.

Thanks

Another vote for PRM. They set it up to only be about 1/4" from the sprocket and disc. I think it definately has the most ground clearance. My friend has a DG skid just like yours and he has the same complaint. He had to get 22" tires just to get more clearance.

we use PRM and Pro Armor pretty much exclusively...but the trend these days seems to be a bad thing for us. with the linkages needing protection the skids are being designed in a way that takes away ground clearence....and some just hang rediculously low.

I just got the new PRM Z series .250 swing arm skid. I don't know how much different these are then the older ones but I'm in love with this thing. It's 100 times better than the DG fat series it's replacing. the ground clearance issue was why I go rid of the old one and the new PRM looks perfect. Get a PRM for sure.. just do it and you thank me and everyone else later

I just went out and measured and with the stock tires on my 400ex I have 4.5 inches of clearance.. way more than I had with the DG.. I have pictures if anyone wants me to post them
