just to tell you. Stock Clutch componets are the best besides Hinson Products. Make sure your basket doesn't have any grooves in it. If you don't change that your new clutch will be junk just as fast as your old one.

Is that why I didn't see you in P-town yesterday. Shane broke an axle and Reed crashed with someone else.

Barnett makes good stuff. You'll be happy with the product.

Just dirtdigger springs are WHY TO STIFF. The arm pump will kill ya! Use stock springs with dirtdigger everything else and you'll be very happy with your choice.A hinson basket would help pull it together nicely.

yup thats why I didnt race yesterday. oh well it saves me money, lol and I think Im still first in points. yea then I will just buy when it gets here. hopefully I can make my money back this weekend. I will try the springs and if they are too stiff then I will put the stock ones back in.

I put a barnett dirt digger in my 400ex made 3 passes down 300ft dirt drag track clutch was gone. the shop i bought the clutch replaced the kit with another one they installed the second, same results about 4 passes clutch was gone. went back with stock and finished the season on stock. this was on a 416 with 4mill stroker on nitrous. in my opinion stock is the only way to go.

well, if you lost your clutch in four pass's, what kind of racing were you doing? sounds like dragracing and then why wouldnt you get one of those direct drive clutchs?

I put a barnett clutch kit in my old 416, it lasted one trail ride and then let go the next race on the first lap. I used the barnett springs and replaced the plates with stock and it lasted as long as I owned the quad. I have heard some bad stories about barnett plates. I guess it depends on how hard you are on the clutch.

i agree the stock set-up is better.they say that if u go with the basket and all it's better, but just to much $$$$$.

have any of you guys did the clutch mod found on rockinghorseweb.com?
just wondering if it really works.
i bought a new friction plate to do the mod.
it's cheap and easy, figured it was worth a try.

spend the money on a hinson clutch basket and just use oem clutch. just had a motor built by baldwin and that is what he puts in all of his motors.

we will have to see how it works in the R. Because it sounds like all the problems with barrnet are in the 400exs. I beat the livin piss out of my quad so if it has any chance of going out, it will. I will call barrnet and be like WTF if it does go out. they might refund me.
