If I cut, or drill some holes in my air box will it help my performance at all? Everything is stock on the motor.

It probably won't help much if you have stock exhaust. An aftermarket exhaust will "open up" the motor, and the opened air box will allow more air in. You will need to re-jet accordingly also.

Get an exhaust and take your lid off, but make sure you find what your stock main size is and go up 2 or 3 sizes. Without an exhaust you would see minimal performance gains.

If you really want you could probably get away with taking the airbox lid off and the baffle out of the exhaust, then jetting accordingly. The only thing you would have to buy then is the 4$ jet.
