IMO holeshots wear way to fast for hardpack riding

you plan on racing at all? I would say get some kenda knarly or klaws, but size would depend on if you plan on racing. You should be ok with 20" tires in the rear.

The mxr6 is a race tire and will not be great on all of those surfaces, and like pappy said they wear really fast.

I'm starting to think that the best aftermarket tires for just all around riding, the occasional race what ever is the regular maxxis razor. These are the same tires that come stock on the Predator.

If I were to rate softness of the tires on a 1 being the softest and 5 hardest these tires are 4. Meaning they will last longer compaired to a hole shot MX which would be about 2 on its best day. You can burn these suckers(hole shots) away fast in just on long day of riding if is not on a nice loamy track.

Just get the standard Maxxis you will not be dissapointed. They are a 4 ply tire vs. 2 ply mxr and 6 ply HD which also weigh about 8 lbs a peice. They still have aggressive tread pattern with good cornering sliding ability and control, good sidewall construction, competive price. They are cheaper than the hole shot mx series tires and will last 4 times longer any day.

i would go with some sort of kenda. i used to run razr's and they do hold up very well they just dont hook up like the klaw's that i now run. my friend ran holeshot mxr's and one long day at the track and he had less than 1/2 tread left.
