Shockwares

Hey wat r the advantages and disadvantages of shockwares. Do u have to clean them and take them off alot? Thanx

i wouldnt say alot but yea u do when u clean ur bike. mine actually doesnt really get all that muddy though.

i run em on my works so the shock shafts dont get beat up and scratched.:blah:

They keep dirt and crap out of your shock shaft, but unfortunately they will rub the pain off of your springs and that can get ugly, and the springs start rusting faster. Personally I would rather just have something like the quadtech gaurds, but they're too expensive.

Also from what I've heard the PEP shock covers are neoprene and dont rub the paint off of the springs. Too bad I dont have PEP's and I dont feel like running their name on my quad:blah:

dirt skins are also neoprene, and are a lot cheaper than the peps, coming in at about the same price for 3 as the shockwears...
