i think sparks gives you more HP, but its really loud, the hmf is loud too but not as loud, id choose the sparks over hmf though

O MY GOD... not another one of these threads

Do a search first this gets brought up atleast once a week. Rumor has it HMF is a better trail exhaust, but the sparks is a better race exhaust and gives more HP for sustained high RPM's

Sparks has the best performance gains as far as I know. On the down side it is very loud.

both pipes are good for h/p.i have a hmf full on my 450r.it's awesome.i think the curtiss is close to the same, but just louder.it all depends on if u can go with a louder pipe or not.my opinion both pipes are good.

If you jsut want a slip-on go twith the HMF. (but I dont reccomend this on the 300ex, the header is way to restrictive, you need a full system).

If you want a full system, go with the Curtis Sparks X-4 w/ diffuser disks. The turn down is nice, but it doesn't clear the rear grab bar, and if oyu put it up on its tail, it will hit the ground.

I love my x-4. It's a turndown style.. I had to shorten the cannister by 2" to clear the rear grab bar.

The Sparks full system is also quite a bit cheaper than the HMF Full system for the 300ex.
