OK, i'm still not an expert but from what i've read here whenever you widen the front end in the traditional manner the shocks will most likely need to be reworked. As far as I know most older breed front shocks are not rebuildable but times are a changing:eek:

If you get standard travel arms, then yes your stock shocks will fit. Is it a great idea to use them, not really. The stock shocks aren't valved properly, and there is a good chance it will handle WORSE.

Racing Rice is right. Yes they will bolt up so yes you CAN use them, but I wouldn't recommend it, especially if you're doing any MX or any large jumps. The extra length of the arm adds a lot more leverage when weight is applied to the wheel and the stock shocks are only built to handle weight applied with a good bit less leverage that the stock arms apply. If you don't weigh much(150lbs or less) then it won't be a huge problem.

would +2 a-arms and 450r shocks be a good combination on my 05' 400ex
