ok heres a good mod to do to a 400ex. first buy 18 in. long 3in big exhaust tube then buy a jet kit then buy a conector that fits tube then conect all of it to the carb and uve got a good exelerating 400ex with if any loss in top end i will give further info on top end but for now if i just tap the throttle it stands staight up and can hook up wheen held and a little lean forward. try it did it for under $50.00

Just weld the pipe right onto the side of the carb eh?

ok i will try to get pics. but this is what i meant.
fist u will need a 3in dia. pipe 16,1/2in long then you will need to get a few rubber boots to conect your filter 2 the carb and one to conect the carb to the pipe, then u need to figure out how to mount it also go to the polaris preditor pole to look at civic intake is exactly what this is

i will try to get pics. monting it is the hardest part but bungie cords will do for temperarily use as long as no big jumps im thinkin a few u bolts should do the trick along with a brackett

ESR makes those airbox eleminator kits like you are talking about for under $50...With a K&N. And they have welded tabs on to bolt it to the frame.

no this is custom made and will give you real good acceleration and i m not shure about top end gains or losses but it pull a wheelie as soon as you tap yhe throttle.

The faster you get pics, the better, im interested. Does this eliminate your air box?

yes it has no airbox if you want more acceleration threw all gears
