Intake??

Ok, on almost every 250r cylinder i have seen, there are 2 little metal bars that go through the middle of it. Now, my 250's cylinder does not have those 2 bars runnign down the middle of it. Is that a good or a bad thing? I just had hetricks re-port my cylinder and they never said anything about them not being there. :confused:

umm are you talking about as you look into the cylinder on the intake side? if thats what your talking about i think the 85-86 cylinders didnt have those but the 87-89 do.

Yes, that is what I am talkign about. If it helps at all, my cylinder is just bare aluminum, it is not painted black. I can't remember if certain years were black, and certain were bare aluminum. Which one is better? I would think the one without the bars would be, because it would flow more. I could be wrong though......

i believe that 86 motors have the bridge that you are talking about and 87-89 do not have that bridge.
