I have never ridden a 250r, but i had honda cr 250s so i can ride two strokes pretty well....I know on my cr's they had power rioght off the line and they were no problem in the woods. would a 250r be this way? or would i have to wait for a hard hit? and either way are they fun in the woods if u know how to use them? I would prefer sticking with something like this rather then switching over to a four stroke. Help me out guys.

A trx 250r will be like any other two stroke in the power delivery. It also depends on the type of porting you have, pipe, compression. Many factors come into play when determining where your power comes in.

A R will be fun in the woods, the dunes, and the mx track. You will want an R thats built for what your going to do with it. If your going to ride woods. Get one already built for XC. That makes it 10 X better.

A TRX250R can be built to be an excellent woods machine. Like stated above, make sure to build it that way by going with low end port, 36mm carb, low end pipe, etc. If you have one built with similar mods, it will make a great woods quad.

it has paul turner race pipe, answer bars, k&n filter, 89 clutch upgrade kit (dif. push rod/bearing design) 20 over wiseco (installed last fall) the rest is stock.
skid plates-bumper-grab bar-tool box/kit-key etc.
this one could be made back totally stock for an investment
or build it the way you want it.
it hasnt been cut up or ported or messed with at all
quad is well maintained. I couldnt deside on stock decals or
a graphic kit, so its up to buyer to personalize it
it runs great, starts right up cold or warmed up, she idles good and takes off great. the frame and motor have original paint.
I do have the stock plastic (white with red hood) rears are broke
and fronts are race cut. like that when I bought it 5 years ago.
it now sports 1988 oem plastic (my personal favorite)
