My exhuast is really leaky right out of the cylinder, it drips oil all over the bottom end. I have only ridden the thing for like 10 minutes cause im rebuilding it right now, but im wondering what i need to do to stop the leaking.

When i pulled the pipe off there was a metal washer sort of thing that came off, but no O rings or anything. Should i order some OEM gasket/oring and some high temp cylicone, i was thinking about getting the ESR billet exhaust flange:confused: It says it uses 2 o rings

any advice would be much appreciated

(its a sparks TT pipe, dont know if that matters)

when i had my old 250r it did that stuff, but yeah its your exhaust flange, you can take pipe off and put high temp silicone around it.

Get on ebay and buy an aftermarket exhaust flange. There are several types on there.

I recommednt the CFM billet flange. With shipping you can get it for 39.00.

Does the aftermarket exhaust flange help seal better? I was just going to use some hondabond liquid gasket on mine when I put it back together.

Yeah, you should get that ESR Flange. Also, you should check your jetting, your bike would run better if you were a little leaner.

Order the ESR exhaust flange and when you order it make sure to buy about 6 extra hi temp o-rings (orange). Then put hi temp gasket sealer, mine was reddish orange, (you can pick it up at your local auto parts store) and it will not leak a drop afterwards.

I was having this problem before. I tryed everything: High temp silicone, exhaust ciment, a type of high temp wool, etc.

The solution is to always replace the asbestos(?) gasket. Honda part number is 18352-HA2-000.

Check the number 7 and 8. The number 8 is the metal ring that go in the groove of the exhaust flange and the 7 is the asbestos(?) gasket. Often people don't know there is a gasket there and they don't replace it. Change it everytime you remove your exhaust and it will never leak.

Do you still need the Asbestos gasket and the metal ring even with the ESR Flange?
