Ok to all of you CPU/ internet savvy people out there i am having a bit of a problem and need some help.
Within the last day or so i have incountered a problem with my internet accessability. I can only gain access to this site and a couple others, the rest of the sites i frequent don't come up at all ( all i get is the " Page cannot be displayed , server cannot be found or DNS error from internet explorer" message screen, For instance i cannot get photobucket or google, or 450.org ect... To my knowldge there has not been anything downloaded recently and i cleaned out all temp files, deleted cookies, and reset my advanced internet options back to default but i still am having the problem. Also sometimes when i close Internet Explorer i get the " This program has performed an Illegal operation and had to be shut down" message.

I run windows 98 (don't laugh it works for me:D ) and am now starting to pull my hair out beacuse of this.... Anyone have an idea of what is going on here and how to fix it?

I am sure it is something simple that i am over looking but i need a push in the right direction here.

Thanks.

If it matters i use COX cable with a cable modem running IE on windows 98
