Wow. I got the HRC kit put in my 06 450r and I am really happy with it. My buddy has a 2005 YFZ 450 with a jet kit, K&N, and an HMF Exhaust, with no air lid. He puts out 44.5 HP On the Dyno. I have an 06 450r with the HRC kit, and no air lid. I havnt have mine dynoed yet, but I am going to probably race my buddy in a week when he comes back from a fishing trip. His quad was much faster than mine when they were both stock, but i think mine was, and still is running a little on the lean side. I dont want a biased opinion here, but who do you think will win in a drag race down the road?

well anything is going to come down to the rider but i honestly think if its a short race he will win but if its a long race i think that you will comeout on top end if he has the cam mod dones hes gonna win either way but then rider weight and skill comes in. either way its going to be a good race but get them on the track for a real race.

Well we both weight about 175 lbs. I am pretty good at shifting and riding, just as he is. I know them YFZ's are pretty fast machines, but I bought the Honda because we have already had 5 cranks in our machine shop to be re-done out of the 04-05 YFZ's. Does anyone have a dyno chart with the HRC kit installed?

dyno dont = winner of race, biggest problem I have drag racing is keeping front end down in 2nd-3rd gear like 440bigbore said this one will come down to rider. maybe you race 10 times and come out 5 of 5 ? come back and let us know the story

I'll go with that. Can't be for sure.

I raced my buddy's yfz with the cam mod and baffle removed and rejetted and my 06 has the HC2 HRC header pipe, lid removed and jetted I also put a 14 frt sprocket on and I walk away from him. It doesn't matter the rider we can be cruising in 3rd or 4th gear and we both just punch it and I walk away from him no problem it is clear that my bike is faster than his!!

would put a 13 tooth on the front sprocket if its a short race but you better get a good holeshot on him because with the 4 strokes unless you do something really major they are pretty much all the same
