I am needing some help. I have an 02 400EX. It has a full Yoshi RS-3 exhaust, UNI filter, and jetted. I mostly ride trails, but also ride MX (don't race), jumping(freestyle), and I am going to try to race at a few harescrambles. My problem is I don't know what to do about the suspension. I thought about getting 450r shocks and +2 a-arms. I don't have a lot of money to dump into my quad. Also, later on down the rode I want to put in a 416,426, or 440, so I want the suspension to be able to take a bigger motor as well. So I am wanting to build a bike to ride everything. Pics would help me out (what a setup like that would somewhat look like) or what some of your setups are for the same style or riding. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I agree. I have 450r shocks and enjoy them, but if I had the cash to spend and was willing, I would have some Elkas on it right now.

I will keep elkas in mind. Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks.

if your gonna be running harescrambles then +2 a-arms are to wide. There may be some tracks that they are ok, but for the majority of places that is to wide

Burguard A-Arms with Elka Rec. Series shocks would be the cheapest but best bet for what you are looking for. Get on the parts for sale forum here because used stuff like what you are looking for goes across there ALL the time. Especially for the 400EX

Would you have +1 a-arms since plus 2 might be to big. I still want it to be good if and when I do ride MX or do some jumping. Thanks for the help though. Anybody with some pictures?
