help with lower steering stem bearing

Iam having trouble getting the lower steering stem bearing in my frame i was wondering if there is like a trick or somthing to get it in

find a socket that is close to the outside dimensions of the bearing. center the bearing, put an extendion on the socket, tap it in with a hammer.

should it be hard to get in or just slide in

there is a snap ring on the underside of the frame that u have to remove then push it out toward the bottom
