Cost and trouble to repair cracked case?

I am thinking about buying a 1994 Banshee with a crack in the case. The chain came loose and put a one inch hole in the case. It seems to me this would be an expensive and long problem to fix properly. Am I correct?

Could just get a new case? There are a good number of atv scrap yards. And theres alot of old banshees. Maybe you could get a good price from someone.

Or you could try JB Welding it. Depending on where its cracked and how big it is.
