We've been working on my buddies 1990 TRX for weeks. He fried the electrical system with a 200 A battery charger so I replaced the Stator, Spark Generator, and CDI with good resuts (excellent spark). But it still woulden't run. I pulled the carb and completely rebuilt it and it's gettin gas now. Still won't run? 190PSI of comprression (WOW). It would just fire a couple of times and then just crank.
Well, yesterday I pulled the rocker cover off and the cam chain appears to be 1 tooth off. What's with that? Chain is tight as can be but with the "T" in the timing hole the mark on the chain pulley upstairs is 1 tooth off. Question is, does this happen often and do I need to replace the chain?
Thanks for your response.
