mixing pump gas and methanol?

i was wondering is there and benifit of runing 70% 94oct. and 30% methanol alky.? would it run any cooler? i know they make methanol carbs for some dune riders and i was wondering what the benifit would be? would 70/30 be to much or would it make no differance?
any input would be great.

I don't see anything wrong with mixing it like that. I think alky's are added to pump gas to get its octane rating. I would do it more like 1/4 of your jug of methenol and the rest pump gas. It would benefit you if you have a high compression piston.
