tires, high or low profile ?

hey, whats the effect of high or low profile tireson a quad?
and why would you have eather?
i seem to see alot of high profiles on the frontends of baja rigs,
mx racers seem to like it low,
why the difference? how does it effect handling and how else you use it ?

High profile tires make a smoother ride. Thats why the baja guys use them. Lower profile tires give better turning because the tire wont roll. Thats why MX guys use them. I think im right but correct e if im wrong.

well then, if i spend half my time out at octillo wells, and glamis, and the other half of my time at the track, might as well stick with the med profiles.
