Which shocks are the softest and best to run for a light weight (105 lb) person on an '05 400ex? My suspension is so stiff!:eek2:

I've always heard AXIS comes softer than others. What suspension do you have right know? Maybe they are not valved for your weight, and the type of riding you do.

Your best bet is to buy some aftermarket shocks (elka, axis, works) and buy shocks that are set for your wieght.

I'm currently running the stock suspension. I know I need to change it, but just wasn't sure which would be the softest to run with light weight. Thanks for the answers. I'll be sure to check those out!

From what I know now after buying high dollar suspension, I would go with a quality revalve first to see what that does for half the price.

the 400ex fronts are not rebuildable so you will have to replace them. when you order aftermarket you tell them your wieght and ride style and they will build a shock to suite. As for the rear you can go with a rebuild for your wight and ride style. hope that helps.
