I just purchused a 13t front sunstar sprocket for my 05 450r. Will this help in tight trail riding and what will I gain or loose because of this. I am going to be running all stock. I just purchused this a week ago. It was the last one and they did not even know that they had it. I got it for 6500otd and a extended warranty plus full coverage for a year for $130. Thanks in advance.

going down one tooth in the front is better than going up in the rear so, you should see a difference.

What is the reasoning for this?
Yes, the 13T will help tremendously...you are going to lose top speed in each gear. I think you will like it...

i was told that going down one tooth in front is like going up 2-3 in the back. but the effect is better when you change the front sprocket.

Yes you are right one tooth in the front is equivalent to 3 in the rear.

This is what I wanted to hear. I tried ridding in the trails and found it very exhusting and difficult do to having to work the clutch so much. I fianlly just did balls to the wall. But that is a little dangerous in the trails I ride in. Thanks for all the replies.
