400ex plastic on 250r

my friend put a set of yellow 400ex plastic on his 250r yesterday, and it looks bad@ss. Has anyone here ever done it?

this thing looks really good with the yellow plastic, but he has a seat off of a 2001 400ex and it says sportraxx instead of honda, but other than that it is awesome

Yea, its been done many many times.
I think everything mounts up perfectly, except the front mounts (400ex front fenders are much higher that 250r fenders), so then you'd need a long bracket in your friends situation.

For me I had trouble getting the brackets for the seat lined up right, the front was pretty easy, just made new brackets.

no, he tucked it inside the fender, You can do it easily.
He said He's got a TCS no preload on the rear I believe of hie R

i have 400ex on the front of my r but i have problem my seat dont meat the gas take it sits way back and those are 250r fenders on the rear
is stock fenders cheaper for 400ex i bought them but i didnt buy the black peices
i would like to put yellow on is it har dot get the back fender hooked up witht he seat latch and stuff?


AND onyone have any kool 250r logo i wanna get a dstick made for the side i don thave any alot of poeple think its a 400ex till i blow by the ex;s lol but i would like a kool250r logo thanxs :confused:

how hard is the conversion to do? i`m getting a 250r without the 400 plastics on it i have to figure out how to put them on, the guy said you have to cut and weld the front seat gromets to the outside of the frame or soemthin like that
