I recently switched from a stage 2 hotcam to an HRC cam. I've adjusted the valves all in spec and I cannot get it to idle. It wants to just choke out. I am currently running a 50 pilot, 190 main, and HRC needle on 4th notch. Any ideas would be appreciated.

decompressor too tight? cam timing off?

shims too large and holding valves open, the jetting sounds good enough to idle, however when you replaced the pilot to a 50 did you do that before or during the cam change. If you just did it, and you didn't adjust the fuel mixture screw it will idle fat and will want to die. With the 50 pilot you will need the screw turned in more then it was with the 48.
