My buddy bought a 2000 400 ex and i want to know what the stock jetting and air screw adjutments should be at???And i notice when u pic up the front end to put it in the truck it pisses gas outta the carbs??????????

i think 148 keihin hexhead main, 38 pilot, and needle on the second position from the bottom, or maybe the third. :ermm:

most quads do that when you tip them up with the gas on.

what r u talkin about

i always pick my quad up into my truck and when i had stock carb it NEVER leaked anything

i have a lifted tacoma so it isnt like i am putting it into a el camino either

When you tip one up the gas spills out because its overflowing out of the float bowl. This is an easy fix, just before you tip it on the back rack you can turn the gas off and it wont leak.

yea it will. just won't keep leaking. still gives a good 4 seconds of piss. by that time it's already in the truck so who cares.

running it with the gas off till it dies is one option, or trying to tango with that stupid little float drain screw.
